  1. I've seen these book page cut-outs before and I am still amazed. Incredible. Love your opening line.

  2. Those are so magical (both Su Blackwell's cutouts and the video). And with your line setting the scene, I'm transported back to a time of belief and wonder and hope.

    Thankyou for this.

  4. I believe that wonder and hope have not deserted us. Magic is still alive in such art and words that say what we seek is nearer than we know.

  5. Sometimes creativity such as this overwhelms me...simply magical. Thanks for showing this to me...I'm either inspired to try it or forget it all together!

i think the line was lifted from someone, but i like it too.

    penny,

i'm always glad to hear these links and videos are enjoyed by others. there are so many ways for books to come alive!

    mike,

well you bring up what i wanted to say but didn't. i've come to enjoy the rowboat without the oars. reaching that point in my life has been liberating. and thanks for the link. i've watched that video several times since.

    marylinn,

"what we seek is nearer than we know". what great words!

    kerry,

oh i know what you mean! i feel that way sometimes when i read a great poem. both inspired and wanting to quit trying to write at once.
